From the estate of Joseph Rothenberg (1935-2001), a cubist modernist original painting completed circa 1987. Purchased directly from the family this painting shows a more modern, geometric portrait in hue greens, pinks, yellows and reds. An avid, committed painter Rothenberg was a family friend and inspiration to artist Susan Rothenberg who in a NYT article described Rothenberg as "artist whose excitement about painting was ''totally infectious,'' and who allowed her to work in his studio." Rothenberg is listed in the National Gallery of Art.
