Helen Simon (1931-2010) was an Iraqi born sculpture artist educated in France and England and emigrated to the US in 1942. Helen traveled extensively throughout the world exercising her passion for learning and her deep interest in art and art history. In middle age she developed a career as a sculptor and achieved remarkable success. Her work is represented in museums and private collections in North America, Europe and the Middle East. This work is titled "Lights and Shadows" is a plaster sculpture with gold, silver and copper finishes with geometric and cubist influences. Sculpture sits atop a black acrylic pedestal that although not attached has the title, artist and year of the sculpture in the upper left corner. Sculpture has some patina and imperfections on painted surface.
